It all started in 2009 with me, Ken Shi, working as a Barista at a well-known coffee roaster in South Auckland. I also got involved with the roasting of the coffee as well as repairing coffee machines.
Aoraki Coffee was established in 2017. In 2018, 2019, and 2020, we consistently received Silver and Bronze awards at the Melbourne International Coffee Awards . And also in 2018 and 2019, we received multiple Silver and Bronze awards at The Golden Bean Awards.
I am also the 2017 NZ Cup Taster Champion and am a National Barista Competition judge as well as a National Latte Art Competition judge.
Basically I love all things about coffee and love sharing, educating, and supplying the best tasting coffee to New Zealanders.
The team received several awards for the coffees roasted there and I am proud to have been part of that team. I learned a lot from there and when the opportunity arrived for me to go on my own I was a skilled Barista, Taster and Roaster.
